Lovely room and view across countryside. Friendly staff who were very helpful.
Our room was above the disco which ended at 12.30 (a wedding). Not a huge issue but we should have been told this on arrival. I had to go down to reception at 11.30 to find out what time it finished.

The large luxury suite had stunning garden views, and the food, especially the scallops, was really good. The friendly staff were attentive, making our experience enjoyable on both nights.

excellent access to parks and local landmarks for weekend strolls
The hotel had great access for weekend city strolls and was well positioned for sightseeing activities, but the changing rooms in the spa could be bigger for a more comfortable experience.

The lodge had awesome amenities for us to relax and enjoy. We explored the local area, and the kids had a blast at the nearby play area while we relaxed by the pool. It was a fun group getaway.
We were a bit disappointed with the room, as ours was located right above a function suite, and we could hear the music and guests late into the night. It really affected our rest.

Dreadful music, also played too loud, in the bar and dining room. I asked twice for it to be changed. Whilst it was changed each time, it was no better. I gave up asking after the main course and returned to my room.

The setting is really beautiful. The views from our room were fine. Our room was nicely decorated and quite clean. We were disappointed to find out that the complimentary spa hours were very limited. The time slots didn't allow us to enjoy the facilities when we wanted. Dinner was a letdown. We waited way too long for our meals, and when they finally arrived, the portions were smaller than expected. I had requested a full Scottish breakfast, but it arrived looking a bit sparse. On another note, the staff at the wedding reception were fantastic, which helped enhance the overall experience. The delay in receiving the bill during dinner was frustrating since the restaurant was fairly empty. The price per night felt a bit high considering the overall experience.
